C-Max radios share the Focus family units
The C-Max was built on the same platform as the Focus Mk2, so it uses the same family of factory radios: the 6000 CD, the Sony CD/MP3 unit and the Blaupunkt TravelPilot FX navigation. All of them lock after a power loss and ask for a 4-digit code.
Most C-Max radios display their serial number on screen, so in many cases you can get your code without removing anything from the dashboard.

From 2010 the C-Max moved to a new generation; units with SYNC normally do not ask for a radio code.
How to unlock your C-Max radio
- Show the serial. Turn the radio on (it will show CODE). Hold buttons 1 and 6 for about 3 seconds and watch for a code starting with V.
- If nothing appears, remove the radio with four release keys and read the serial from the label on the case.
- Get the code by entering the serial in the box at the top of the page. The price for your country is shown before payment.
- Enter the code with buttons 1–4 (press each button as many times as its digit), then press and hold 5.
