Galaxy radios by generation
The Galaxy Mk3 (2006–2015) shares its radios with the S-Max and Mondeo Mk4: the 6000 CD, Sony CD units and Blaupunkt TravelPilot NX navigation. All of them ask for a 4-digit code after a power loss.
The earlier Galaxy (1995–2006) was built together with the VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra, and its radios vary much more. Read the serial from your unit: if it starts with M, V, BP or C7 it is a Ford-type radio we can decode.

How to unlock your Galaxy radio
- Show the serial: turn the radio on and hold 1 and 6 for about 3 seconds.
- No serial on screen? Remove the unit with release keys and copy the serial from the label.
- Get the code: enter the serial at the top of this page. The price for your country is shown before payment.
- Enter it: buttons 1–4 for the four digits, then hold 5 to confirm.
