Kuga Mk1 radios and navigation
The first Kuga (2008–2012) was fitted with the later 6000 CD and Sony CD units, and with Blaupunkt TravelPilot navigation on some versions. After the battery is disconnected these units lock and show CODE.
The second-generation Kuga (from 2013) uses Ford SYNC, which normally does not ask for a radio code at all.

How to unlock your Kuga radio
- Show the serial: with the radio on, hold 1 and 6 for about 3 seconds. The serial (V + 6 digits) appears among the scrolling codes.
- Navigation units don't show the serial on screen: remove the unit and read the label or the number stamped into the case.
- Get the code with the form at the top of this page. You see the price for your country before you pay.
- Enter it with buttons 1–4 and confirm by holding 5.
