Ford TravelPilot navigation units
Ford's factory navigation systems were made by Blaupunkt under the TravelPilot name: the EX (Mondeo Mk3 era), the FX (Focus Mk2, C-Max) and the NX (Mondeo Mk4, S-Max, Galaxy Mk3). They ask for a code after the battery is disconnected, just like the radios.
Navigation units don't show their serial on the display. It is printed on a label and stamped into the metal case, and starts with BP or C7.

If the label and the stamped number differ, use the number stamped into the metal casing.
How to unlock a TravelPilot
- Remove the unit. Take off the centre dashboard trim and slide the navigation unit out (release keys are needed on most versions).
- Copy the serial starting with BP or C7 from the label or the metal case. Take a photo so you can check every character.
- Get the code: enter the serial at the top of this page. You see the price for your country before paying.
- Enter the code following the on-screen prompt, using the number buttons or the rotary control depending on your version.
Good to know
- Write the code down and keep it in the car documents: you will need it again after the next battery change.
- Make sure the unit is properly reconnected before switching the ignition on.
